EATit builds menus from community scans and automated AI reading. Restaurants change recipes, kitchens share equipment, and menus rarely list every ingredient — so EATit can never know the full contents of a dish.
For that reason EATit never states that a dish is safe for an allergy or free of an allergen. Dietary matches in the app (including "vegan", "gluten-free", or similar tags) are probabilistic hints drawn from the menu text, not safety claims. When ingredient information is missing, dishes are marked uncertain rather than matched.
If you have a food allergy or intolerance — especially a severe one — always tell the restaurant staff and confirm directly with them before ordering. Never rely on EATit for an allergy decision.
